Abstract Body : Introduction:
Cryptorchidism, or undescended testicle (s), is a relatively common condition, and is present in nearly one-third of premature newborn males, and present in about 3% of full-term newborn males. The vast majority resolve by the first month of life, decreasing the prevalence to about 1%. This condition is associated with an abnormal hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis with a multitude of risk factors for the condition, with the most influential being family history and birth weight. Bilateral cryptorchidism can have pronounced effects on fertility, and unilateral cryptorchidism also may cause infertility in 10-30% of patients.

Methods:
Routine cadaveric dissection was completed on 22 body donors at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine (OUWB). Surface examinations of seven cadavers were also completed on the cadavers from the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Oakland University, within the same lab. Further examination of structures were examined to identify any related abnormalities.

Results:
Cryptorchidism was found on one male cadaver, aged 92 in the right testicle. The donor also had a contralateral inguinal hernia repair, contralateral duplex ureters, duplex testicular veins. Further, the donor showed an ipsilateral testicular venous variation, wherein the right testicular vein drains into the right renal vein, rather than the inferior vena cava.

Conclusion:
This study examines cryptorchidism found in an elderly male donor. Although cryptorchidism is common, persistence of the condition into adulthood is not. This study aims to discuss the presentation, as it is clinically relevant. Further, we will examine the potential relationship between other anomalies present and cryptorchidism.

Clinical Significance:
Untreated cryptorchidism leads to an increased risk of many health factors including testicular cancer, testicular torsion, and decreased fertility. In patients with cryptorchidism, fertility may be decreased by as much as 30%. Some studies show cryptorchidism contributes to a three-fold increase in risk of testicular cancer, and others report a risk 5-10 times greater than those who did not have the condition in childhood.
