Although human anatomy itself is slow to change, the skills required to be a modern anatomist are constantly in flux. What should you be learning in order to keep up with curricular changes, career progression, and new research programs?
In this session, participants will have the opportunity to rotate through three different areas and leave with a list of tips, resources, and action items for developing your new skill. Participants will connect with people and resources relating to growth areas in a variety of topics, including leadership and service (becoming a leader in faculty development, academic advising, graduate medical education); Incorporating technology into the classroom (preparing effective lecture videos, incorporating ultrasound into your class, developing a digital histology curriculum); and expanding your research repertoire (inclusivity in survey design, collaborations 101, and educational research). This PDC-sponsored session is for anatomists (broadly speaking) at any career stage who want to learn a new skill.
Discussion Leaders include: Taffline Arbor, PhD; Alison Doubleday, PhD; Jennifer Eastwood, PhD; Zachary Kulkkert, PhD; Brandon Lowry; Travis McCumber, PhD; David Morton, PhD; Jay Mussel, PhD; Christopher Percival, PhD; Ellen Robertson, PhD, OTR/L; and Danielle Royer, PhD.
