Ben Palleiko is a 4th year medical student at UMass Chan Medical School. He grew up in Massachusetts and he completed his undergraduate degree at University of Michigan in Biomolecular Science. Upon matriculation to medical school, he became involved with research in the UMass Chan Department of Surgery and is at the end of a dedicated year of research in thoracic and esophageal surgery. His academic interests include medical education and surgical outcomes research. He will be applying to general surgery in the 2024 residency application cycle. Outside of medical school, his interests include hiking, golf, music, and following University of Michigan and Boston athletics.
