Joanne Peterson is an Assistant Professor of Anatomy at Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Smith, AR. She works closely with both DO and master’s students to develop their knowledge across all four Anatomical Sciences: Gross Anatomy, Histology, Embryology and Neuroanatomy. To help facilitate learning, her research is focused on analyzing various approaches to boost academic achievement in both the Anatomical Sciences and throughout the entire medical school curriculum. She holds a Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
