Hannah is a second year Clinical Anatomy MSc candidate. She completed her undergraduate degree at Western in the Medical Sciences and Biology double major program. Her work focuses on evaluating the relationship between vascular stress and microglial activation in aging and in transgenic rat models of Alzheimer’s disease. Individuals with vascular risk factors such as midlife hypertension and diabetes are at a greater risk of developing neurodegenerative diseases. Hannah is passionate about observing various contributing factors for effective preventative measures and early diagnosis. She also enjoys teaching undergraduate and medical students about the wonderful world of anatomy.
