Fatma Inanici is a physician and postdoctoral research fellow at the Restorative Technologies Lab at the University of Washington. She received her medical degree and completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Hacettepe University, School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey. She worked as a clinician and a professor in the same institution before moving to the United States of America. Dr. Inanici completed her Ph.D. in Medical School Rehabilitation Science program at the University of Washington in 2019. After that, she worked as a postdoc at Harvard Medical School, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Currently, she is working on non-invasive electrical spinal cord stimulation to restore sensorimotor function in people with spinal cord injury and stroke at the University of Washington. She also focuses on demystifying the mechanism of action of spinal cord stimulation and optimization of neuromodulation strategies.
