Danielle Royer, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology, University of Colorado School of Medicine. Since 2017, she has been the Director of Gross Anatomy for the MD program at CU-SOM. She teaches gross anatomy, ultrasound, and pedagogy to medical students, residents, and Modern Human Anatomy MS students. She is one of the founding faculty of the Modern Human Anatomy program at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus (more info, visit https://medschool.cuanschutz.edu/ms-modern-human-anatomy). Her research interests include medical and anatomy education, ultrasound, and anatomical variation. She has 2 kids (10.5 yo and 3.5 yo) and is an avid gardener, knitter, and cook.
