Central Michigan College of Medicine
I am a 2nd-year medical student at Central Michigan University's School of Medicine. Originally from Port Huron, Michigan, I moved to Saginaw to attend undergraduate at Saginaw Valley State University. There, I received a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from the honors college. Following that, I was unsure of what I wanted my future role within the science community to be and decided to explore my options. A scholarship to attend Ming Chuan University in Taipei, Taiwan was presented to me and I decided to take it. There, I taught English to students and attended classes about international leadership. Since returning to the states, I have held numerous jobs within the medical field including a mental health aide, a COVID nurse aide, an ER technician, and a medical scribe. These positions solidified my love for helping patients and the science behind the human body and I decided to apply to medical school. In my spare time, I enjoy woodworking, walking my two dogs, swimming, and running. Last summer, I completed my first full-length Iron Man triathlon.
