My name is Melissa and I'm a second-year PhD student studying salamander limb regeneration in Dr. James Monaghan's lab at Northeastern University. I use principles of cellular & molecular biology and bioinformatics to understand how cells in the regenerating limb know where they are in space, and how these cells access and disseminate patterning information to form a fully regenerated limb.
